Install the MCP client configuration to connect your AI assistant to the local MCP server for Redpanda Cloud.

This command generates and installs the necessary configuration files for your MCP client (like Claude Code) to automatically connect to the local MCP server for Redpanda Cloud. The local MCP server provides your AI assistant with tools to manage your Redpanda Cloud account and clusters.

Supports Claude Desktop and Claude Code.

This command writes an `mcpServer` entry named `redpandaCloud` into the appropriate config file.

| --allow-delete | bool | Allow delete RPCs. |
| --client | string | Name of the MCP client to configure. Supported values: claude or claude-code. |

| --config | string | Redpanda or rpk config file; default search paths are ~/.config/rpk/rpk.yaml, $PWD/redpanda.yaml, and /etc/redpanda/redpanda.yaml. |
| -X, --config-opt | stringArray | Override rpk configuration settings; -X help for detail or -X list for terser detail. |
| --ignore-profile | bool | Ignore rpk.yaml and redpanda.yaml; use default settings. |
| --profile | string | rpk profile to use. |
| -v, --verbose | bool | Enable verbose logging. |
