rpk shadow delete

Delete a Redpanda Shadow Link.

This command deletes a Shadow Link by name. By default, you cannot delete a Shadow Link that has active or paused shadow topics. Run rpk shadow failover first to fail over the shadow topics, or use the --force flag to delete the Shadow Link while its shadow topics are still active or paused.

The --force flag removes the Shadow Link and stops replication immediately, without waiting for in-flight data to replicate. Redpanda does not delete the shadow topics. They become regular, writable topics that keep their data and consumer group offsets, and no further data is replicated to them from the source cluster. You cannot undo this operation.

The command prompts you to confirm the deletion. Use the --no-confirm flag to skip the confirmation prompt. The --force flag also skips the confirmation prompt.
